Job Description

A flexible and highcalibre salaried GP to join our team, who has enthusiasm, energy and a sharedcommitment to develop the practice, with fresh ideas.

Willingness toparticipate fully in all aspects of surgery life including on-call arrangements

6 sessions per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays)

Main duties of the job

Asa member of the Practice Clinical Team you will provide primary healthcareservices to patients in all required environments. You will be expected toparticipate in Practice activities including clinical and staff meetings,audits, and relevant CPD activities; you will also take a role in thedevelopment of the Practice. In addition, you will be expected to participatein the Practices activities relating to its function as a training practice.

Daily Clinical Responsibilities:

Youwill be expected to undertake consultations in all clinical settings asdirected during your paid clinical time. These consultations will cover thebreadth of the Practices GMS and network obligations and you will beexpected to support the Partners in providing such services as outlined in the GMSContract and any national, directed or local enhanced services agreed with the ICB or any successor body.

Youwill be required to share the daily responsibility of checking and signingprescription requests, dealing with patient queries and providing clinicalsupervision to the trainee's in place at the Practice.

Youwill be expected to support and input into the aims of the Practice in areasincluding clinical governance, best practice, clinical audits and any otherimprovement activity as determined by the Practice.

Weare a large, well-established and thriving teaching Practice seeking to appointa salaried GP to join our friendly team. The rightcandidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated doctor with an interest inenhancing our team and providing high quality, patient-centred care.

We are based in New Brighton, Wirral, close to Liverpool and Chester. We have 5 partners, 4 salaried GPs, ANP, Practice nurse team, HCAs, phlebotomist and supportive reception, admin and medicines team and we work along side other roles attached to our PCN.

Eligibilityto work in the UK, full GMC registration, placement on the Medical PerformersList, membership of a recognised medical indemnity organization, twosatisfactory references and clear DBS certification are essential conditions ofemployment.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Vocationally trained and accredited with eligibility to practice independently as a General Practitioner in England
  • Current registration with the GMC and appropriate representation with a recognised medical defence organisation; and have never been removed from a performers list for a detrimental reason
  • A full, valid UK driving license and access to a car on a daily basis
  • Additional medical qualifications
  • Previous experience of working within a busy General Practice as a Principal or Salaried GP.
  • Accreditation for Family Planning, Child Health Surveillance, or other qualifications and experience relevant to enhanced services.
  • An interest in a particular disease area and the willingness to take a leadership role in it;
  • Participation and interest in research
  • Under/Post graduate GP trainer
