Salary: £350 a day

Hours: 37 hours

Responsibilities
  1. Work with colleagues to achieve service plan objectives and targets.
  2. Comply with data protection legislation and the council's Information Security Policy, including supporting policies.
  3. Be willing and able to work flexibly both in terms of hours and location, including remote and home working, as required by service needs.
  4. Participate in performance development, talent reviews, and one-to-ones; contribute to identifying your own and team development needs and goals.
  5. Actively promote and comply with the council's diversity and equality policies.
  6. Ensure full compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the council's Health and Safety Policy, and locally agreed safe methods of work.
  7. Understand and commit to Section 17 'Duty of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998' to prevent crime and disorder.
  8. Perform additional activities as agreed with senior management, consistent with the role's grade and nature.
  9. Undertake and maintain relevant mandatory training in line with legislation.
Leasehold Management and Right to Buy Service

Lead the operational management of home ownership services, ensuring high-quality, seamless delivery of Leasehold Management and Right to Buy services, including customer care.

Ensure the provision of an efficient Right to Buy service in accordance with Housing Act 1985 Part V.

Analyze performance data to monitor, improve, and identify opportunities.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of service charge estimates, actuals, and Ground Rent Demands within statutory timeframes.

Carry out statutory consultation under section 20 in line with legal thresholds and timeframes.

Manage billing for major works and service charges within statutory targets.

Handle leaseholder enquiries, correspondence, and complaints professionally, ensuring compliance with FOI Regulations, Data Protection Regulations, and the Council's Information Sharing Protocol.

Assess and resolve complex enquiries related to permissions, licences, subletting, assignments, and lease/service charge matters, aiming for outstanding customer experience.

Liaise with other departments to resolve complex matters promptly.

Maintain knowledge of leasehold legislation and case law, ensuring ongoing compliance.

Manage information provided to residents regarding leasehold management, service charges, and billing, in line with legislation and stakeholder requirements.

Provide specialist advice on legislative and statutory matters, contributing to service improvements.

Develop and deliver staff guidance and training on legislative changes and best practices.

Advise senior management on legislation and regulatory changes affecting business growth and development.

Ensure IT and data systems support business requirements effectively.
