At Botronics, we are redefining the game of golf with robotics. Our flagship product, iXi, is the world's first autonomous golf trolley, designed to offer golfers an effortless, hands-free experience on the course. We are a dynamic startup passionate about blending autonomy, smart design, and user experience to create innovative solutions in sports robotics.
We are now looking for a Robotics Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of autonomous systems in golf.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and deploy autonomous navigation and control systems for mobile robots (like iXi) using ROS 2 and Nav2.
- Integrate perception, localization, and path planning algorithms into our robotic platforms.
- Work on embedded systems running Embedded Linux, interfacing sensors, actuators, and hardware drivers.
- Collaborate across disciplines (hardware, software, product) to prototype and iterate rapidly in a startup environment.
- Contribute to system testing and field trials on golf courses, with hands-on debugging and optimization.
- Support the entire lifecycle of robotics software, from R&D to production.
What we're looking for (everything is nice to have, we are open to junior profiles)
- Proven experience in ROS 2 projects and autonomous robotic systems.
- Strong knowledge of Nav2, localization, mapping, and navigation stacks.
- Experience working with outdoor robotics and rovers.
- Solid experience with Embedded Linux and Nvidia embedded systems development.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for robotics applications.
- Knowledge of AI and computer vision.
- A proactive mindset with flexibility to contribute across various tasks, typical of a startup environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good level in English (spoken and written).
- Experience with React Native.
- French speaking skills.
- Playing golf is a plus.
We are primarily focusing our efforts on our product(s). Therefore, our simulation environment does not yet allow us to work remotely on a regular basis. We are, of course, flexible, and remote work is permitted when the tasks allow for it.
