Why this role is important for CPI's workAs the RNA Training Academy Lead, you will lead the delivery and growth of CPI's RNA Training Academy. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact, multi-disciplinary programme that translates CPI's RNA expertise into engaging, industry-relevant training courses.
In this role, you will project manage the delivery of the Training Academy to generate new business opportunities and ensure achievement of business goals. You'll collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs), external service providers, and industry stakeholders to understand skill gaps and the voice of the customer to ensure excellent course content in the development and delivery of cutting-edge training modules.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Being the single point of contact and expert on the RNA Training Academy. Running the Academy as a complex multi-disciplinary programme by developing, leading, managing, coordinating, and delivering all aspects of the programme.
- Establishing and working with a CPI team of SMEs to ensure successful delivery. Providing direction, guidance, and intervention to resolve complex issues and meet deliverables.
- Identifying and establishing a network of Service Providers to support the training programme-covering training materials, content, logistics, IT platforms, registration, and payment. Implementing robust agreements with clear objectives and establishing ongoing supplier relationship management.
- Project managing the delivery of the training programme, including ownership of the business plan and budget.
- Collaborating with RNA technical experts and industry to understand and evaluate customer needs, supporting the design, content, and delivery of training courses. Aligning industry needs with CPI knowledge to generate training content outlines and storyboards.
- Working alongside CPI Learning and Development SMEs to incorporate learning principles into course content for excellent learning outcomes.
- Developing technical content with CPI Technical SMEs, ensuring engaging learning experiences with storyboards, outlines, and project plans.
- Linking with CPI Business Development for follow-on business opportunities and new channels.

The person we are seeking- Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in a Business, Science, or L&D discipline with relevant industrial experience.
- Project Management experience, ideally with APM PFQ or equivalent.
- Bioscience and/or RNA technical knowledge or experience.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels within the organization and with third parties.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, facilitate effectively, and manage complex scenarios and uncertainties.
Preferred additional qualities:
- Active membership of relevant professional bodies or external networks/groups.
- Knowledge of training and organizational development theories, instructional design models.
