Job Description

Support Sage in achieving its strategic objectives by assisting in delivering effective risk management practices and ensuring the organization maintains adequate and appropriate insurance coverage. Provide proactive guidance and support across front and back-office functions, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Challenge risk and controls owners constructively to drive enhanced business performance, while also developing your own skills and contributing to a resilient, high-performing team.

This is a hybrid role, based out of our Newcastle office 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the identification of opportunities to improve risk management processes, assisting in introducing efficiencies and new practices.
  2. Support the ERM framework, including hosting risk identification sessions and providing hands-on support where needed.
  3. Engage with stakeholders to evaluate whether risks, controls, and mitigations are correctly identified, documented, and actioned in line with due dates.
  4. Assist with the timely production of risk reports for Sage functions and the global risk committee.
  5. Foster positive relationships across the three lines of defence, regions, and functions to drive risk management improvements.
  6. Assist in reviewing, monitoring, and maintaining insurance policies to ensure appropriate coverage.
  7. Coordinate with insurance brokers and internal departments for policy renewals.
  8. Maintain records of insurance policies, claims, and risk management activities.
  9. Assist in processing insurance claims, including documentation and stakeholder liaison.

  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels with clear communication.
  • Experience with risk management and assessment techniques, or control design.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Hands-on approach to risk management.
  • Results-driven with a track record of high-quality delivery in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional travel.
  • Understanding of UK regulatory frameworks; insurance experience preferred.
  • Experience with Global Risk and Compliance Tools and Data Analysis Tools like Power BI is beneficial.
