About the Role

This Technology Risk and Control Officer focuses on Artificial Intelligence, including Generative AI and Agentic AI. The successful candidate will lead AI control improvements, coordinate AI specific internal audits and 2LOD challenges, and drive AI governance and risk management process enhancements. The position requires close collaboration with technology teams, internal audit, and 2LOD to facilitate the safe adoption of AI technologies across enterprise wide applications.

Responsibilities

• Assess AI risks across applications, systems, platforms, and use cases; identify and escalate risks.
• Partner with technology teams to identify risk mitigation and controls for safe AI adoption.
• Coordinate with Internal Audit and 2LOD on AI specific challenges; drive risk based conversations and provide timely responses to inquiries.
• Lead process and control improvements to uplift the AI control framework and governance process.
• Contribute to the development and scaling of AI policies, standards, and procedures.
• Follow up and address remediation actions, risk mitigations, and breaches to keep the CTO within acceptable risk appetite.
• Draft controls and risk mitigation strategies for AI.

Experience & Preferences

• Past experience in a Technology Risk & Control function, preferably focused on emerging technology.
• Proven background auditing Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Model implementations or systems.
• Experience in application development and/or application/system risk assessments; Agentic AI or Gen AI specific knowledge preferred.
• Experience with cloud architecture, threat modelling, and risk assessments.
