Revenue Accountant - Itron

We are looking for a Revenue Accountant to ensure accurate accounting of revenue across various entities within the Itron organization. The role reports to the Revenue Controller and is responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting, SOX compliance, and process improvement on a global revenue team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure revenue related journals are posted within the required deadlines for all global entities.
• Liaise with GBS and FP&A teams to drive M/E and Q/E close and meet corporate deliverables.
• Maintain accurate revenue recognition models for assigned customers and forecast ASC606 impacts.
• Perform critical review of revenue and cost project budgets to determine revenue recognition impact.
• Support evaluation of new customer contracts for ASC606 compliance.
• Maintain processes and controls to ensure compliance with USGAAP and Itron policies.
• Liaise with auditors for group and statutory reporting.
• Provide analytical revenue and unbilled receivable management reporting.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to revenue recognition.
• Support process improvement initiatives and projects.

• Knowledge of revenue accounting standards.
• Willingness to take on additional projects and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Qualified accountant with a recognized accounting qualification.
• 3 years of related accounting experience (desired but not essential).
• Experience and understanding of revenue recognition pronouncements.
• Experience with Oracle (desired).
• Experience using Alteryx (useful).
