Retail Store Assistant (Keyholder Responsibility)

Location: Bath, Westgate Street

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 6 hours - Saturdays or Sundays only

Hourly rate: £12.71 per hour plus benefits

Job Details

• Reports to: Shop Manager
• Department: Trading
• Closing date: 12th July 2026

Responsibilities

• Oversee running of the shop on a Sunday, including keyholder duties.
• Support a diverse team of volunteers.
• Assist the wider shop team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
• Review and process donated goods and new stock.
• Generate new income ideas under guidance from the Shop Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customers feel welcome and appreciated.
• Maintain shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of customer service best practices.
• Experience working in a lively, vibrant environment.
• Adaptability in changing situations, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commercial awareness.
• Strong relationship building and communication skills.
• Experience in or understanding of retail and fashion is ideal.
