Retail Team Member 12.75 per hour

We're looking for a Retail Team Member to welcome visitors to the National Trust shop at Kedleston, to answer their questions and help them make the most of their day.

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Contract/duration: Fixed term contract until 03-Oct-2026

Hours/working pattern: This is a zero hour contract, meaning we can't guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We'll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.

For this role, you'll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

As a member of the retail team, you'll be offering visitors help and advice with their shopping. You'll maintain high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers.

You'll also talk to visitors about how everything they buy helps fund the work of the National Trust. Other duties include arranging, receiving and unpacking deliveries, creating shop displays and working with the team to keep the shop floor clean and organised. There will be times when you will be lone working. We're a team of five so it is crucial that we can cover holidays, weekends and busy times by being flexible in the days worked.
