Retail Supervisor - Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Berwick upon Tweddle, Northumberland. This permanent part time position involves working at least 16 hours each week, including some weekend hours.

Pay & benefits

Pay rate: £13.61 per hour.

Guaranteed minimum 16 hours per week (approximately £217 per week). Overtime may be available.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager as part of the management team to run an efficient shop and provide great customer service.
• Take full responsibility for the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines are maintained safely, cleanly and tidily.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Manage operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• People person who builds strong relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable, dependable on team and customers.
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar is beneficial (although not essential for those looking to start a retail management career).
• Ready to complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS or Disclosure Scotland check if successful.
