We offer an hourly pay rate of £13.61 and a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week, equating to at least £272 per week. Overtime may be available.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager as part of the management team and help run an efficient shop while providing excellent customer service.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants.
• Control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Requirements

• Friendly, positive, and hard working approach to work.
• Excellent people skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable-essential as you will be a key part of a small team that customers depend on.
• Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar industry; however, we welcome applicants who have the drive to start a career in retail management.
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check, if offered the position.
