We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Stanley, Durham. The role is a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 24 hours per week, generally including some weekend work.

Hourly rate: £13.61. Guaranteed minimum 24 hours per week (at least £326 per week). Overtime may be available on a further basis.

As one of our retail supervisors you will:

• Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for controlling operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

You will need:

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Strong people skills, easy to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Trustworthiness and reliability - you will be a key part of a small team and customers will depend on you to perform your duties consistently.
• Experience in a supervisory, team lead or managerial role in retail or similar industries is desirable but not mandatory; enthusiasm and a willingness to grow into retail management are valued.
• Completion of an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if successfully offered the role.
