Retail Supervisor - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. This is a permanent full time position working 39 hours per week across 5 days.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager as part of the management team to run an efficient shop and provide an excellent service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the retail assistant team.
• Control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• People oriented, able to build strong relationships with staff and customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable, dependable to the team and customers.
• Previous experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar industry is preferred but not essential.
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS / Disclosure Scotland check (England/Wales / Scotland) if offered the position.
