Retail Supervisor - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Bransholme, Hull. This is a permanent 39 hour full time position working a variety of shifts, 5 days a week from 7 am each week. Full time applicants must be fully flexible, including weekends.

Hourly rate: £13.61 per hour. Guaranteed minimum 39 hours per week (minimum £530 per week). Overtime may be available.

Responsibilities

• Act as an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great customer service.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries processed quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for controlling operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Strong people skills, able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable, dependable as part of a small team.
• Previous experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industry preferred, but we welcome candidates taking first steps in retail management.
• Will complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if successfully offered the position.
