Retail Supervisor - Full Time

Hours: 39 hours across 5 days per week. Pay: £13.61 per hour. Benefits: 30 days holiday each year, 15% staff discount, a staff benefits package and more.

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Tipton, West Midlands. This is a permanent full time position working a variety of shifts across 5 days each week. Flexibility and availability throughout the week, including weekends, are expected.

Hourly rate: £13.61 with a guaranteed minimum of 39 hours per week (approximately £530 per week). Overtime may be available. In addition to pay, you will enjoy:

Responsibilities

• Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for controlling operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications

• A friendly, positive and hard working approach to work.
• The ability to get on easily with people and build strong working relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team and customers will depend on you.
• Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is desirable but not mandatory.
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check.
