Retail Supervisor - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. This is a permanent, 39 hour full time position with a variety of shifts across five days per week. Flexible availability throughout the week, including weekends, is required for full time roles.

Pay: £13.61 per hour, guaranteed a minimum of 39 hours per week, giving roughly £530 per week. Overtime may be available.

Responsibilities

• Act as part of the management team, supporting the manager in leading the shop and delivering excellent customer service.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop during the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Requirements

• Friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• People person who builds strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable, critical to a small team.
• Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar industry is desirable but not essential - we welcome applicants with the right attitude and motivation.
• Will complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if successful.
