Retail Supervisor - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Newtown, Birmingham. This is a permanent 39 hour full time position with a variety of shifts across five days a week, including weekends.

Hourly pay: £13.61. Guaranteed minimum 39 hours per week (at least £530 per week). Overtime may be available.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager and be part of the management team to run an efficient shop and deliver excellent customer service.
• Take full responsibility for the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants.
• Manage operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications & Requirements

• People person who can build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable; dependable for the team and customers.
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is preferred; entry level applicants encouraged.
• Commitment to complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS/Disclosure Scotland check if successful.
