Retail Supervisor - Full Time

• Hours: 39 hours across 5 days per week.
• Pay: £13.61 per hour.

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Wolverton, Buckinghamshire. We offer a permanent 39 hour full-time position working a variety of shifts, 5 days from 7 each week. For full-time roles, availability across the week, including weekends, is generally required.

Pay & Benefits

We offer an hourly pay rate of £13.61 and you will be guaranteed a minimum of 39 hours work per week. This means you will be earning at least £530 per week and overtime may be available.

Responsibilities

• Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in your manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders, and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for the control of operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Requirements

• To complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if offered the position. An Employment Verification check will confirm previous employment history against HMRC records. A Basic DBS/Disclosure Scotland check will confirm any previous or unspent convictions.
• A friendly, positive, hard-working approach to work.
• To be a 'people person' who can easily build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• To be trustworthy and reliable as you will be an important part of a small team, with both the team and customers depending on you.
• Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is useful, but we welcome and consider strong candidates seeking their first step in retail management.
