Blue Forge Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-established Irish-owned retail group known for its extensive network of non-food, seasonal and homeware retail superstores located across the country. As part of their continued growth and ambitious plans to dominate the seasonal and giftware markets, our client is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager, Supervisor or Senior Manager for one of their new store, opening in Co. Wicklow. The store is located on a 35 minutes' drive from Lucan and a 20 minutes' drive from Kilcoole. This job requires someone who has a proven record of managing a DIY, Grocery or a store with a large retail setting. A suitable candidate will be someone with strong leadership skills, keen eye for details and can thrive in a busy environment. Responsibilities ofRetail Store Manager Job Co. Wicklow- Lead by example and create a positive, energetic team culture.
- Motivate, coach, and develop your team through regular training and feedback
- Manage day-to-day store operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Plan team workloads and make the best use of rostered hours to maximise productivity.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards and ensure the store is clean, organised, and well-stocked.
- Monitor stock levels, follow up on customer orders, and minimise out-of-stock issues.
- Analyse store performance, manage costs, and work towards improving key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, finding solutions that maintain customer satisfaction.
- Ensure company policies, health and safety procedures, and operational standards are followed at all times.
- Minimum 2-3 years of Management or supervisory experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Must possess the ability to lead and motivate teams under them, such as Assistant Managers, Supervisors and other senior staff.
- Experience in grocery, DIY, homewares, clothing, or similar retail sectors is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a keen eye for detail and performance.
- Flexible to work a rotating roster between 9:00am and 9:00pm, Monday to Sunday.
- Commercially minded with experience achieving sales targets and KPIs.
