Retail store assistant (with keyholder responsibility)

Location & Working Hours

Ryde Shop - Permanent contract - 6pm to 11pm on Sunday only - Closing date 12th July 2026.

Pay & Benefits

Responsibilities

• Oversee the running of the shop on a Sunday, including keyholder duties (training provided).
• Support a diverse team of volunteers and the wider shop team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
• Review and process donated goods and new stock.
• Create and implement creative ideas to generate new income with guidance from the Shop Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service to make customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
• Maintain shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.
• Perform manual handling and physical activity as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Working knowledge of great customer service and experience in a lively, vibrant retail environment.
• Adaptability to changing situations, working effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Commercial awareness and ability to create relationships and communicate well.
• Flexibility to cover rota based work, balanced with personal life commitments.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship.
