Job Description

Retail store assistant (with keyholder responsibility)

Location: Armagh Shop, Northern Ireland

Hours: Part time - 15 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term until 30September2026

Reports to: Shop manager

Pay: £12.71 per hour plus benefits

Closing date: 21st June :55

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the running of the shop and take keyholder responsibility.
  • Support a diverse team of volunteers and assist the wider shop team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
  • Review and process donated goods and new stock.
  • Generate creative ideas to help generate new income under guidance from the Shop Manager.
  • Use customer service skills to make customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
  • Maintain shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.
  • Perform manual handling and physical activity as required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Working knowledge of excellent customer service.
  • Experience working in a lively and vibrant environment.
  • Adaptability to changing situations and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to cover the store on a rota basis.
  • Eligible to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
