About the role

The Retail Operations Assistant Manager is a key role within the Retail team, reporting into the Head of Travel Retail, Continental Europe, working closely with the Retail, Education, Store Design & Visual Merchandising, Supply chain teams and external vendor partners. A fast paced and exciting role, ensuring all elements of our store environment projects are executed across our existing and expanding estate across the regions.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure operational excellence across the store estate by creating, implementing, monitoring, and reporting effective processes.
  • In partnership with Supply Chain, ensure all NSV orders for retail counters are raised in a timely manner.
  • Partner with relevant functions to ensure GWP activations are clearly communicated to relevant retail teams and regions.
  • Identify opportunities for operational excellence and drive new ways of working with a focus on data informed, profit focused, and technological advancement.
  • Identify opportunities for enhanced customer experience and present this to the business for approval.
  • Ensure goods not for resale are forecasted accurately and ordered effectively including tools, stationery, paperwork, testers and hygiene.
  • Be the go to expert for all store related issues and technology systems.
  • Pilot and launch a counter to office communications system for streamlined reporting and resolution of on counter issues and strong visibility from Magic Office of counter presentation.
  • Ensure all NPD launches are communicated effectively and monitored to ensure successful launch.
  • Ensure store & VM maintenance reported issues are resolved to a high standard, timely manner and within budget.
  • Manage all maintenance tickets from submission to completion, communicating with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Raise POs for all completed works and resolve payment issues.
  • Work closely with VM team to ensure counters are displayed to a high standard and complete necessary update orders and tasks.
  • Track and monitor spend vs budget and assist in creation of budget for Retail Operations OPEX spend allocated to your region.
  • Support opening of new and existing counter refits and lead retail projects, maintaining project plans to ensure successful launch.
About you
  • Operations experience within the beauty/fashion industry.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workload effectively while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven track record in implementing projects, change management and training teams on new ways of working.
  • Experience in executing store projects and ability to engage and set best practice for store managers.
  • Confident with budget management and daily financial tasks.
  • A reactive and flexible attitude towards tasks.
  • Able to flourish in an autonomous environment.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
  • Must be open to travel across Europe.
