Galway five days on site for first six months 1/2 days WFM thereafter
Our client is a successful Irish-owned retailer with a substantial nationwide store network and a rapidly growing e-commerce business. Employing more than 350 people, the company is continuing to expand its physical footprint, workforce and internal capabilities.
Based at the Galway head office, this is a hands on retail marketing role focused on driving footfall, sales and brand presence across a rapidly growing nationwide store network.
With 86% of sales taking place in-store, physical retail is central to the business.
This person will work closely with Store Managers, Visual Merchandising, the internal studio, media partners and the wider marketing team to deliver campaigns that produce clear commercial results.
The role- Plan and deliver national and local campaigns that increase showroom footfall and sales
- Develop more locally targeted marketing activity based on store catchments, customer behaviour and regional opportunities
- Gather campaign ideas and market feedback directly from Store Managers
- Work with Visual Merchandising to ensure campaign messaging and showroom presentation are aligned
- Brief and coordinate internal creative teams, print suppliers, newspapers, social media partners and other advertisers
- Manage substantial campaign budgets and ensure marketing spend delivers measurable value
- Use sales, footfall and campaign data to evaluate performance and guide future investment
- Monitor competitor activity and respond quickly when market conditions change
- Manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and stakeholders in a fast-moving retail environment
- Take on broader marketing responsibilities during the Head of Marketing's maternity leave, working alongside the Digital Marketing Manager
- At least three years' experience in retail marketing, brand management, trade marketing or a related role
- Direct experience marketing physical stores and driving footfall or in-store sales
- A strong understanding of campaign ROI, KPIs and data-led decision-making
- Experience managing multi-channel campaigns across print, regional media, outdoor and social channels
- The ability to translate data into clear commercial recommendations
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders, Store Managers and specialist internal teams
- A practical, hands on approach and the ability to respond quickly to competitor activity
- A full driving licence and access to a car, as nationwide store travel will be required
Experience within furniture, homewares, fashion or another fast-moving, multi-site retail business would be particularly relevant.
This is not a digital marketing position. The client has a dedicated digital team and the technology required to track campaign performance.
The priority is someone who understands physical retail, can deliver campaigns at pace and can demonstrate the commercial return from marketing investment.
The role will be based on-site in Galway five days a week for the initial months. Some hybrid working, approximately one to two days per week, may be available once the person is established.
