Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

• Hours: 16 hours across 4 days per week (minimum)
• Pay: £10.95-£12.81 per hour depending on age

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Quedgeley, Gloucestershire. This is a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts with a minimum of 16 hours over 4 days from Sunday to Thursday (including weekends). The role requires availability for weekday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Help customers find the items they are looking for
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offer help to pack, and leave a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy

Qualifications & Requirements

• Friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work
• Enjoy being busy; able to juggle deliveries, till, shop floor, cleaning and stock rotation tasks
• Reliable - essential to be a dependable part of a small team; colleagues and customers rely on you each shift
• Flexible with shift times; can cover slightly different hours to cover for other team members; rota is planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside of work are considered
• Can complete an Employment Verification check if successful
