Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Tong Street, Bradford. We offer a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 8 hours over 2 days each week, including weekends.

Please note that this position will require you to be available for shifts on weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday. This role may not be suitable if you are not available at these times.

Pay & benefits

The amount you will earn depends on your age:

• Ages 16-20: £10.95 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

As one of our retail assistants you will:

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Help customers find the items they are looking for
• Give fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy
• Work with the rest of your team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep our shop safe, clean and tidy

You will need:

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work
• Enjoy being busy as there is always something to do: jumping from putting out deliveries to serving on the till and completing important cleaning and stock rotation routines
• Reliability, as you will be an important part of a small team; colleagues and customers will depend upon you to do your best each shift and not let the team down
• Flexibility with shifts: when other members are off on holidays you may need to work slightly different hours; rosters are planned three weeks in advance and external commitments are taken into consideration
• Completion of an Employment Verification check if successful and offered the advertised position
