Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Accrington, Lancashire. We offer a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 8 hours worked over 2 days per week, including weekends.

Please note that this position will require you to be available for shifts on weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday. This position may not be suitable for you if you are not available to work at these times.

Pay & Benefits

• Hours: 8 hours across 2 days per week.
• Pay: £10.95-£12.81 per hour (Ages 16-20: £10.95 per hour; 21+: £12.81 per hour)

As one of our retail assistants you will:

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Give a fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leave a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of your team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy.

You will need:

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy, jumping from deliveries to till service to shop floor assistance, cleaning and stock rotation routines.
• Reliability, as you will be an important part of a small team; your colleagues and customers will rely on you to do your best on each shift.
• Some flexibility in shifts; when other team members are off you may need to work slightly different hours. Rotas are planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside of work are taken into consideration.
• Completion of an Employment Verification check if successful and offered the advertised position.
