We are recruiting a new retail assistant for our shop in Wick, West Sussex. The role is a permanent part time position, working a variety of shifts with a minimum of 16 hours per week across four days, including weekends. Availability for early morning shifts is essential.

  • years of age: £10.95 per hour
  • 21 years and older: £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the tills, offering assistance with packing and ensuring a positive guest experience.
• Handle stock with care, manage deliveries, quick release products into freezers and shelves for customers.
• Work with the team to maintain daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Friendly, positive, hard working attitude.
• Enjoy being busy; able to switch quickly between deliveries, till work, customer assistance, cleaning and stock rotation.
• Reliable and dependable as a key part of a small team.
• Flexible with shift changes when teammates are on holiday; rota plans are created three weeks in advance.
• Complete an Employment Verification check if offered the role.
