Retail Assistant - Part Time

Job Summary

• Hours: 20 hours across 4 days per week.
• Pay: £10.95 - £12.81 per hour.

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Ashford, Kent. We offer a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours worked over 4 days per week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits

The amount that you will earn depends on your age:

• Ages : £10.95 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple greeting.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide a fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of the team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy; able to juggle deliveries, till service, customer assistance, cleaning and stock rotation during a shift.
• Reliable; an important part of a small team, dependable to do best on each shift and not let the team down.
• Flexible with shift times, including occasional changes to cover for holidays; rota planned three weeks in advance with commitments considered.
• Complete an Employment Verification check if successful and offered the advertised position.
