Restructuring & Insolvency Solicitor (9-12 month FTC - Maternity Cover) London (with flexibility for remote working) Top 50 City Law Firm - Fixed Term Contract Starting: April/May

Our client, a highly regarded Top 50 City practice seeking a talented solicitor to join its Restructuring & Insolvency team on a 9-12 month maternity cover FTC. The role is ideally full-time, however, the firm is open to considering individuals seeking 4 days a week.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor with a background in both contentious and non contentious restructuring and insolvency to join a leading team handling complex, high profile and often cross border matters.

The Opportunity

The Restructuring & Insolvency practice advises on a wide range of domestic and international matters, including distressed situations, special situations, and complex insolvency processes. You will work closely with key stakeholders such as lenders, debtors, sponsors, distressed investors and insolvency practitioners.

You will handle a varied caseload that may include:

  • Advisory work for companies in financial distress
  • Lender side mandates, including enforcement strategies
  • Contingency planning and restructuring options
  • Formal insolvency processes
  • Contentious matters arising out of distressed scenarios
  • Cross border restructurings and strategic turnaround projects

This is a fantastic chance to work on sophisticated matters that require both sound technical skills and commercial judgment. You will be joining a well structured team with strong partner support and a friendly, collaborative working style.

About You

The firm is seeking a qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent) with:

  • Experience in restructuring, insolvency and/or special situations
  • Exposure to both contentious and non contentious work (ideal, not essential)
  • Ideally be able to run transactional processes
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills
  • The ability to operate in a fast moving environment and manage competing timelines
  • A commercial, pragmatic approach when advising clients
  • Excellent communication skills and strong team ethos
  • Confidence handling complex documentation and advising senior stakeholders

The firms' hybrid policy is 3 days per week in the office.

This role will suit someone who is proactive, adaptable and able to integrate quickly into an established team.
