About the Role

We're recruiting for a General Manager to lead a high-end, modern dining restaurant in one of Birmingham's most prestigious locations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to take full ownership of restaurant operations, team performance, and guest experience. You'll play a central role in maintaining exceptional standards while driving commercial success and enhancing the venue's reputation.

This role is ideal for a hands on leader with experience in premium or fine dining environments who is passionate about delivering outstanding service and building high performing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day to day restaurant operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience at all times.
  • Maintain high standards across food quality, service, cleanliness, and overall presentation.
  • Oversee stock control, supplier relationships, and ordering processes.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Manage and develop the full restaurant team, including supervisors, servers, bartenders, and chefs.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and professional culture.
  • Lead from the front on the restaurant floor, setting the standard for service excellence.
Performance & Commercial Management
  • Monitor business performance including sales, labour costs, and operational efficiency.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Manage guest feedback effectively, resolving issues and protecting brand reputation.
Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a General Manager within a premium or fine dining environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management capability.
  • Excellent understanding of restaurant operations and high end service standards.
  • Good financial awareness, including labour cost control and sales performance.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
