Job Description

Restart Advisor Birmingham

Salary: Starting salary £28,325 per annum. Raising to £30,325 subject to meeting key operational performance requirements (to be discussed further at interview).

Contract: Permanent
Full Time: 37.5 hours (Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00)
Location: Birmingham office

What you'll be doing
  • Collaborate with participants through diagnostic assessments to identify barriers and create action plans that shift mindsets and outline the steps needed to secure meaningful employment.
  • Meet and exceed performance targets by continuously improving strategies and seeking input to deliver the best outcomes for participants and the wider community.
  • Understand and signpost participants to internal and external services addressing needs such as debt management, mental health, and career coaching.
  • Ensure participants have well crafted, professional CVs, tailored supporting statements, and cover letters to aid job searches.
  • Prepare participants for interviews by conducting mock interviews and assessment activities, and help them build confidence.
  • Maintain accurate electronic participant records that reflect the full range of support offered, from coaching through to employment placement, within required timescales and to required standards.
  • Attend face to face meetings at the office when required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working in very busy environments.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and challenge participants to achieve their fullest potential.
  • Strong track record of delivering against and exceeding performance targets and engaging participants in personal growth and mindset transformation.
  • Exceptional communication skills-able to inspire and influence participants while addressing diverse needs with flexibility, robustness, and creativity; also contact employers and other stakeholders to identify opportunities.
  • Flexible and creative in solving complex challenges.
  • High level digital literacy.
  • Excellent organisational skills-able to manage a varied caseload and deliver exceptional support while juggling multiple priorities.
