This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruitment professional to lead end-to-end recruitment activity across a broad range of service areas, supporting the Council's ambition to attract, engage and retain exceptional talent. The successful candidate will manage permanent, fixed-term and temporary recruitment campaigns, working closely with hiring managers and HR colleagues to deliver an outstanding recruitment service and candidate experience. The role will also play a key part in workforce planning, market mapping, talent attraction initiatives and continuous improvement across recruitment processes.

What you'll be doing:

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment activity across multiple service areas
  • Providing expert recruitment advice and guidance to stakeholders
  • Developing innovative attraction and retention strategies
  • Supporting hard-to-fill and senior recruitment campaigns
  • Conducting market mapping and candidate engagement activity
  • Leading on process improvements and recruitment best practice
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation
  • Supporting KPI delivery including vacancy fill rates and time to hire
What we're looking for:

To be considered, applicants will demonstrate:

  • Significant recruitment experience within a large or complex organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience managing multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously
  • Knowledge of recruitment legislation, policy and best practice
  • Experience of talent attraction, market mapping and candidate engagement
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach
  • Experience within the public sector and knowledge of systems such as Service Now and Talent Link would be advantageous.
