This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruitment professional to lead end-to-end recruitment activity across a broad range of service areas, supporting the Council's ambition to attract, engage and retain exceptional talent.
The successful candidate will manage permanent, fixed-term and temporary recruitment campaigns, working closely with hiring managers and HR colleagues to deliver an outstanding recruitment service and candidate experience. The role will also play a key part in workforce planning, market mapping, talent attraction initiatives and continuous improvement across recruitment processes.
What you'll be doing:- Managing end-to-end recruitment activity across multiple service areas
- Providing expert recruitment advice and guidance to stakeholders
- Developing innovative attraction and retention strategies
- Supporting hard-to-fill and senior recruitment campaigns
- Conducting market mapping and candidate engagement activity
- Leading on process improvements and recruitment best practice
- Building strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation
- Supporting KPI delivery including vacancy fill rates and time to hire
- Significant recruitment experience within a large or complex organisation
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience managing multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneouslyKnowledge of recruitment legislation, policy and best practice
- Experience of talent attraction, market mapping and candidate engagement
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive and solution-focused approach
- Experience within the public sector and knowledge of systems such as Service Now and Talent Link would be advantageous
