Job Description
Role

The Resource Coordinator role in Tamworth involves sourcing and engaging self-employed drivers to meet business demand, working closely with operations and hiring teams to deliver a positive candidate experience. This full-time position offers £13.93-£14.49 per hour with favourable day shifts, starting immediately on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

Key responsibilities
  • Proactively source and attract self-employed drivers through job boards, social media, referrals and local outreach.
  • Conduct high-volume candidate outreach via phone calls, messages and follow-ups.
  • Screen applicants to assess suitability, availability, licensing and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process, including document collection and interview scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver records, ensuring all compliance documentation is completed.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective drivers, providing an engaging candidate experience.
  • Create and support targeted recruitment campaigns to attract high-quality drivers.
  • Work closely with operations and hiring teams to achieve recruitment targets.
What we're looking for
  • Strong communication skills with confidence in telephone-based candidate engagement.
  • Excellent administration skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience in recruitment, sales or lead generation.
  • Driver or logistics recruitment experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through social media and online platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, target-driven environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to build lasting relationships with candidates.
