Residential Property Solicitor (Head of Department

Overview

Residential Conveyancer / 8+ PQE / West Midlands / Competitive Salary / An established and well-regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Head of Residential Property to join its team on a succession-planned basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the residential conveyancing department, with responsibility for managing 2 offices and overseeing the day to day running of the team.
• Take responsibility for high quality residential property work, including transactions for high net worth clients that are currently handled at Partner level.
• Develop a strong pipeline of quality instructions and further internal referral relationships.
• Role will be primarily office-based, with the flexibility to work from home one to two days per week.
• Progress into the firm's management team in the longer term.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with 8+ years' PQE in residential property.
• Strong technical expertise across the full range of residential conveyancing matters.
• Ability to supervise and mentor other fee earners with commercial awareness and a proactive leadership style.
• Interest in contributing to the strategic development of the firm; suitable for a Senior Residential Conveyancer seeking Head of Department or an existing department head seeking succession-planned, long-term progression.
