Residential Development Solicitor

Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm who are looking for a Residential Development Solicitor to join their team in Manchester.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advise housebuilders, developers, landowners, and housing associations on all aspects of residential development projects.
Manage acquisitions and disposals of development land, including conditional contracts, options, and overage agreements.
Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents such as development agreements, planning agreements (Section 106), infrastructure agreements, and easements.
Support clients through the full development lifecycle, from site acquisition and planning to plot sales.
Handle legal due diligence and title investigations for land purchases and disposals.
Coordinate with planning, construction, and corporate teams to provide joined-up legal support on development schemes.
Assist with setting up sites for residential sales, including drafting standard contract packs and managing plot sales.
Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive, commercial, and solution-focused legal advice.
The successful candidate:
3 + years PQE with strong experience in residential development law.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to tight deadlines.
A proactive and client-focused approach.
