Job Description

Overview

A highly regarded, full-service law firm with an excellent reputation is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor (10+ years' PQE) to join its established property team in Greenwich.

This is a senior-level opportunity suited to a confident and commercially minded solicitor who can manage a varied caseload independently, contribute to business development, and support the wider team in delivering a high standard of client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
  • Handle a range of transactions including freehold, leasehold, sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients, maintaining excellent levels of client care
  • Supervise and support junior fee earners, paralegals, and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SRA standards and AML procedures
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties effectively
  • Contribute to the financial performance of the department, including billing and meeting targets
  • Assist with business development and networking to help grow the firm's client base
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date file records and case management systems
  • Resolve complex or technical conveyancing issues with minimal supervision
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 10 years' PQE in conveyancing (essential)
  • Strong technical expertise in residential property law
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Fully IT literate, with experience using case management systems
