Job Description
Overview
A highly regarded, full-service law firm with an excellent reputation is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor (10+ years' PQE) to join its established property team in Greenwich.
This is a senior-level opportunity suited to a confident and commercially minded solicitor who can manage a varied caseload independently, contribute to business development, and support the wider team in delivering a high standard of client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
- Handle a range of transactions including freehold, leasehold, sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
- Provide expert legal advice to clients, maintaining excellent levels of client care
- Supervise and support junior fee earners, paralegals, and support staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SRA standards and AML procedures
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties effectively
- Contribute to the financial performance of the department, including billing and meeting targets
- Assist with business development and networking to help grow the firm's client base
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date file records and case management systems
- Resolve complex or technical conveyancing issues with minimal supervision
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 10 years' PQE in conveyancing (essential)
- Strong technical expertise in residential property law
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Fully IT literate, with experience using case management systems
