Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £30,000 to £50,000

Hours: Monday to Friday

Working Pattern: Office-based

Contract: Full or part-time

Experienced Residential Conveyancer sought to join a busy and established Conveyancing team within a well-regarded law firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or experienced non-qualified Conveyancer who is confident managing their own residential property caseload and is looking to join a friendly, experienced and supportive team.

Position Overview

You will manage your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, providing a high-quality and personable service to clients throughout their transaction. Work will include:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Remortgages and transfers of equity
  • New build transactions
  • Help to Buy and shared ownership matters where appropriate
  • Reviewing and investigating title
  • Raising and responding to enquiries
  • Reporting to clients and lenders
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, solicitors and other third parties
  • Managing files efficiently from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and lender requirements

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and managing their own workload, whilst also working collaboratively as part of the wider Conveyancing team.

The firm's focus is on providing a professional, efficient and personable service, and therefore strong client care, organisation and attention to detail will be particularly important.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive, or an experienced non-qualified Residential Conveyancer
  • Proven experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently
  • Strong experience of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and work efficiently
  • Good IT skills and experience using case management systems
  • Professional, reliable and team-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Experience of new build transactions would be advantageous
  • Experience of shared ownership and/or Help to Buy matters would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with lender panel requirements and post-completion processes would be advantageous
  • An existing following would be welcomed but is not essential
