Job Description

Residential Conveyancer / Property Lawyer

We are working with an established law firm looking to recruit a Residential Property Conveyancer to join their Highcliffe office. This is a hands-on role managing a full caseload and playing a key role within a supportive property team.

Duties:

  • Manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions, including:
  • Sales and purchases (freehold and leasehold, registered and unregistered)
  • Plot sales
  • Transfers of equity
  • New builds
  • Remortgages and property finance
  • Easements
  • Some experience with option agreements and conditional contracts
  • Handle the conveyancing process from instruction to completion
  • Draft and review contracts, leases, and other legal documents
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the process
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support the firm's business development initiatives
  • Work collaboratively within the property team
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and professional standards
  • Stay up-to-date with property law and conveyancing procedures

Experience & Skills:

  • Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with ideally 3-4+ years PQE (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Proven experience in residential conveyancing transactions
  • Strong technical knowledge of freehold and leasehold property
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client care skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Commercial approach with a desire to develop client relationships

This is a full-time, office-based role with flexible hybrid working considered.
