ATG are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee construction works on port infrastructure projects on Inis Oírr.
The role will be site-based and responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, in accordance with design, specifications, and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the Engineer's Representative on site for port and marine works.
- Supervise contractors' activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Monitor quality, programme, and health & safety performance.
- Inspect works, witness testing, and certify completed works.
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and progress reports.
- Liaise with contractors, designers, local authorities, and island stakeholders.
- Support environmental and coastal protection requirements.
- Experience as Resident Engineer or Site Engineer on marine, coastal, or port projects.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering works, including concrete, marine structures, and earthworks.
- Knowledge of Irish construction standards, health & safety, and contract administration.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, island-based environment.
