Information about the role

You'll obtain and evaluate information from a diverse array of overt, discrete and covert information sources to aid intelligence assessment, documenting your research findings and developing intelligence products, reports and charts for tactical and strategic use. You'll be involved in the acquisition and evaluation of secret intelligence to support our priorities.

Your communication skills will be utilised, working effectively as part of a team and with colleagues from across the network, plus partners and local policing units, and provide excellent intelligence response based on a high level of customer focused service.

Responsibilities
  • Using National Intelligence Model (NIM) compliant intelligence products to research and identify high risk individuals in a time sensitive manner.
  • Discovering, confirming and collating sources of information and intelligence in order to exploit and develop the intelligence picture for CT threats.
  • Supporting the Analysts, Internet Intelligence Investigators (III's) and Intelligence Officers by gathering, collating and evaluating information to facilitate the development of intelligence products.
  • Working in line with Departmental, Force and National guidelines to establish and maintain verifiable audit trails for all information/intelligence requests and requirements.
  • Liaising with stakeholders and partners in the authorised collection and dissemination of information, attending meetings and operational briefings at various levels, to discuss research requirements/results.
  • Distributing intelligence products onto relevant parties, providing reassurance and validity checks to assist with critical operational decisions.
