Cancer together with the HRB Clinical Research Facility-UCC and UCC Cancer Trials Group, invites applications for an experienced and highly motivatedAcademic Study Coordinator. This role will provide advanced coordination and operations management across academic studies, supporting investigator-initiated research and enabling the continued growth of clinicalancer research activity regionally.

Within this environment, the Academic Study Coordinatorwill play a pivotal role in delivering the relevant Work Packages 3 of the HRB Cancer Trials Grant and the HRB Clinical Research Facility grant, supporting academic grant development and the conduct of investigator led studies, while strengthening research governance, consistency, and collaboration across Cancer

The Futures Strategic Research Centre Cancer (the host research centre of the HRB-funded UCC Cancer Trials Group), in partnership with the HRB Clinical Research Facility, is now seeking a dynamic candidate for the key position of Academic Study Coordinator to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the operational start up pathway from concept, to grant proposal/activation to trial launch, ensuring all regulatory, governance, and institutional requirements are met, to manage and ensure full implementation of the Investigator initiated trials policies and procedures, and to engage effectively with our key Principal Investigators, stakeholders and funders. The Academic Study Coordinator will also play a key role in leading the end to end operational set up of investigator initiated clinical trials including protocol finalisation, ethics submissions, regulatory documentation, coordination of feasibility assessments, site readiness activities, and study activation processes across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that the scope and timelines of all research projects are on schedule, and that complies fully with mandatory reporting requirements.

The Academic Study Coordinator may be asked to support other aspects of work of Cancer and CRF-UCC when relevant and the appointee will be expected to have a flexible approach in this regard. The ideal candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic, very organised and capable of managing a busy and diverse workload. She/He will be able to work under pressure and be able to effectively manage many competing demands simultaneously.
