As a Reporting Specialist at West Coast Supply Group, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, playing a key role in turning data into insights and ensuring the quality of our internal and external financial reporting. You'll take ownership of our monthly and annual closing processes, support external audits, and work closely with internal stakeholders across accounting, business control, and operations.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on structure, accuracy, and continuous improvement. You will work with advanced tools like XL Reporting and our ERP system (Navision) to ensure timely and reliable reporting across our international divisions. Your input will not only ensure compliance and clarity but will also directly support strategic decisions within a growing, fast paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
Monthly Closing Process
- Take ownership of the monthly closing process according to defined timelines and standards
- Ensure the Trial Balance is accurate and adheres to accrual-based accounting and the matching principle
- Review and challenge monthly accruals for accuracy and completeness
- Perform analytical reviews and ensure timely delivery of monthly financial reports
- Present final reports to the Financial Lead
- Provide support to Senior Administrators with complex accounting entries and reconciliations
Annual Reporting Process
- Manage the year-end closing process, ensuring timely and complete reporting
- Support external auditors during the annual audit process by delivering accurate calculations and consolidated overviews (e.g., goods movement, sample testing, accrual and provision accounting)
- Assist Senior Administrators in handling complex year-end financial processes
Other Reporting
- Support preparation of additional internal and external financial reports such as shareholder reports, bank reports, Kitchen reports, stock reconciliations, and top holdings summaries
Systems & Tools (ICT)
- Serve as Key User of "XL Reporting" tools used for financial consolidation and reporting
- Maintain and update XL Reporting by integrating new ledgers and divisions as needed
- Ensure accurate system usage and support reporting automation initiatives
Professional Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Languages: Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- IT Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics Navision)
- BI knowledge is a plus (QlikView preferred)
- Experience:
- Proven experience in financial reporting and financial audits
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and closing processes
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, structured, and proactive
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Leadership experience is not required but considered an advantage.
