Key job responsibilitiesAmazon is seeking a Renewable Energy Procurement Manager to join the AWS APJC Energy team. This role involves negotiating and executing renewable energy purchase agreements primarily in India to expand our renewable energy portfolio. The ideal candidate will identify key market conditions, regulations, and market structures to deliver scalable results, with a results-oriented approach, strong analytical skills, good financial acumen, and a proven track record in renewable energy transactions in India.
A day in the life- Execute Amazon's renewable energy procurement strategy in India
- Analyze trends and regulations in the energy sector to identify opportunities that benefit Amazon
- Collaborate with the Amazon Infrastructure team to develop strategic energy sourcing opportunities

Minimum qualifications- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Economics, Engineering, or Business
- 5+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry in India
- Proven track record in renewable energy contract negotiations
- Strong communication skills
- Master's Degree (MEng/MSc/MBA)
- 8+ years of experience in energy markets, trading, project development, or related fields in APAC
- Ability to evaluate energy markets, tariffs, policies, and sourcing opportunities
- Knowledge of electricity markets, renewable project development, energy storage, and related technologies
- Experience working with utilities, regulators, project developers, investors, and OEMs
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
