Job Description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Presales Systems Engineer. In this role, you will primarily work from home and play a crucial part in driving data center and networking opportunities. You will collaborate closely with account managers and field specialists to navigate the complexities of inside sales while building strong relationships with technical buyers. This position is designed for individuals with a solid technical background in networking solutions who seek to excel in sales and leadership capabilities.

Accountabilities
  • Own and manage a defined book of data center and routing opportunities using a predominantly inside sales approach.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline for Data Center and Routing networking solutions through proactive outbound and inbound engagement.
  • Architect and position practical, scalable networking solutions aligned to customer requirements and growth trajectories.
  • Execute opportunities rigorously using the MEDDPICC sales methodology, ensuring strong qualification, deal hygiene, and forecast accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Field Sales, and technical teams to support deal progression and account expansion.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing customer footprints through solution upgrades and refresh cycles.
  • Develop trusted, consultative relationships with technical buyers and influencers.
  • Support virtual product demonstrations and solution discussions alongside technical resources.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity data, account notes, and forecasts in Salesforce.
  • Leverage partner ecosystems where appropriate to accelerate deal velocity and customer outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5-8+ years of experience in networking technology sales or solutions engineering.
  • Proven track record architecting data center networking solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with the MEDDPICC sales methodology.
  • Experience selling to Technology or IT-focused accounts preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting or selling within a team-based sales model.
  • Experience working in an inside sales or virtual-first engagement model is a plus.
  • Solid technical foundation in data center networking architectures.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear customer value propositions.
  • Strong collaboration skills and openness to coaching and continuous feedback.
