As Regulation Manager, you will be the responsible lead for monitoring and assessing Network Rail's performance and delivery in respect of its freight activities and the activities, expenditure and delivery of its National Functions (which support delivery by all of Network Rail's devolved routes and regions). You will monitor and assess Network Rail against what it is required to deliver for its customers and funders.
As part of your day-to-day activities, you will take the lead in analysing a range of qualitative and quantitative information, to make recommendations as required. You will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external individuals to undertake and drive forward specific workstreams. You will scrutinise and challenge the activities and delivery of Network Rail's Freight and National Passenger Operator team and National Functions, taking appropriate action to resolve concerns as early as possible.
The is an exciting time to join ORR. You will support the team in developing and adapting our ways of working as we respond to the emerging regulatory framework for a reformed rail industry following the creation of Great British Railways.
Your key responsibilities, although not exhaustive, will include:
- Holding Network Rail to account.
- Creating and developing effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Delivering regular reporting and analysis.
At ORR we have adopted hybrid working and are currently expected to work from a workplace location for a minimum of two days per week or 40%.
Regional office salary range: £52,867 - £61,296
London office salary range: £57,114 - £65,490
