The roleSuccessful candidate will work under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist as part of a multidisciplinary team, in the General Adult setting in Highfield Healthcare. Services are incorporating inpatient, day hospital, home base treatment and outpatients' care.
Eligibility Criteria- MB, Bch essential
- General Registration with Irish Medical Council essential
- X2 written satisfactory references - essential
- BLS - desirable
- Relevant experience in a mental health setting- desirable
- Adaptability to changes in healthcare
- Ability to work well within team environment
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development
- To promote patient care by liaising with all departments
- Ensure appropriate and timely communication as required with Admissions Staff, Ward Manager and staff, and consultant in charge of patient
- To participate in any in-service training as required such as CPR, Health and Safety, fire training etc.
- To provide in-service training to staff where requested and appropriate.
- Ensure on-going continuous professional development by reading current medical and psychiatric journals and on-going professional training.
