Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse - Bupa Broad Oak Manor Care Home, Sutton-at-Hone, Dartford, Kent. Salary £18.41 £21.48 per hour. Contract: 4 12 hour shifts per week (48 hour contract). Flexible days and nights. Paid breaks and £1,000 welcome bonus.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the well being of residents, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
• Coach and guide the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
• Carry out assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for each resident.
• Monitor work areas and practices to ensure safety and compliance with relevant standards, policies and legislation.
• Manage the unit alongside clinical duties, overseeing care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating care plans, and providing clinical guidance to the care team.
• Support CQC tasks and maintain high clinical standards across policies and procedures.
• Communicate and report effectively, ensuring smooth handover of clinical issues to team members and health care professionals.
• Operate independently during night shifts, exercising strong critical thinking and self reliance to manage care staff and remain calm in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
• Experience managing a care unit and overseeing clinical duties.
• Proficiency in administering and ordering medication.
• Skill in developing and evaluating individualised care plans.
• Knowledge of CQC requirements and maintaining high clinical standards.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Capacity to work independently during night shifts and handle emergencies confidently.
