As Regional Supply Chain Manager for Region Europe, you'll develop, implement and be accountable for regional supply chain strategic, tactical, and operational plans within a specified region/cluster or area of responsibility. Optimise supply chain in terms of Services, Processes and Costs to meet required customer service levels and provide superior results at the lowest possible total supply chain costs.

This role can be based in our offices in Madrid (Spain) or Ljubljana (Slovenia).


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive process changes and operational/productivity improvements as process Champion or project lead within the Region SC or across.
  • Liaise with associated departments (e.g. Finance, DRA, RCC, QA, others) to optimize cross-functional processes and projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with European Commercial LT and relevant functions in the Clusters / Countries and across Tech Ops sites and functions.
  • Support and participate in relevant Launches activities in the region.
  • Ensure correct scenarios planning and assumption
  • Monitor and control regional supply chain performance based on KPI and other information.
  • Identify areas for improvements in the Region, Clusters and Countries, ensure implementation of continuous performance improvement plans and follow up sustainable implementation.
  • Ensure high quality planning in affiliates and supply sites to optimise supply chain performance. (e.g. Sales Forecasting, Demand Planning, Launch Planning, others)
  • Represent Regional supply chain in local S&OP meetings in Affiliates and Supply Sites.
  • Suggest or facilitate best supply allocation according ComPrio in bottleneck situations in a region and represent region in case of cross regional allocation process.
  • Select, train, develop and coach SCM experts within the region to develop high pot Supply Chain talents and improve SCM organizations on local and regional level.
  • This role requires leadership and influence skills without direct reporting lines.
  • Anticipate future trends in supply chain management and keep track of developments in the market environment that are likely to affect Global/Regional supply chain performance.
  • Translate into Regional strategic/action plans to optimise supply chain performance.
  • Manage and control budget and expenses for the assigned Global/Regional supply chain initiatives; to evaluate cost effectiveness and results as per Role in the Team.
  • Prioritise supply bottlenecks between Plants & affiliates within the region according to agreed Priorities.


What you need to bring to the role:

  • University degree in Science or Economics, ideally with dedicated Supply Chain Management education (e.g. MBA or APICS certification)
  • +5 years' experience in Supply Chain management, preferably with above country experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Sound stakeholder management capabilities
  • Pharma experience will be highly valuable.
  • Fluent English (+C1) mandatory, additional languages will be valued.
