Your new office

This is an exciting time to join our Maidstone office, as we invest in developing our Civils offering within the London, South East and South West market.

We have two opportunities available, one focusing on permanent recruitment and one on temporary recruitment, giving you the chance to help establish and grow a new market for us in Maidstone.

With fantastic potential across the Civils sector, you'll have the opportunity to build a specialist desk, develop relationships with new and existing clients and establish yourself as a recognised recruitment expert in the market.

You'll have the backing, brand and resources of Hays, while having the autonomy and opportunity that comes with developing a new area of business.

The Opportunity

What can I expect day to day?

You'll specialise within the Civils market, recruiting skilled professionals including:

Project Managers
Site Managers
Site Engineers
General Foremen
Depending on the role, you'll focus on either the permanent or temporary market, developing a strong network of candidates and clients across your area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys business development, market mapping and creating new relationships. You'll have the chance to make the market your own and play a key role in growing our Civils presence in the area.

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will:

Source, interview and match high-quality candidates to opportunities
Proactively identify and develop new business within the Civils market
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and understand their hiring needs
Manage the full recruitment process, from taking a brief through to placement
Develop specialist knowledge of your market and competitor landscape
Take ownership of your desk, targets and business growth
Work collaboratively within a supportive and ambitious team
